Topic: Any XML tools for Stupid People? :P

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Are there any "Keep It Simple For Stupid" tools to open the "XML database file of VDJ" to where you could simply do a "mass or batch edit" to all your database files instead of having to do one at a time by checking the "file's info" within VDJ, etc???

Also it seems that my VDJ latest version is not properly reading my MP3 file tags.

Most of the time it does and they are correct...

But a lot of the files will come up with the GENRE being something else that is not in my actual set tag, etc...

But then when you go back to the "file info" then you are able to import and replace that "mystery tag" to the correct tag setting, etc...

????

Also hopefully in the next release we'll get better, more precise "BPM" detection...

I'm just glad I don't really need to depend on that given setting and can do it the normal way by knowing the music (LOL)

But very happy to report I'm very stable with this version of VDJ, using timecodes and a cheap midi mixer!!!

why dont you just multi select the songs in question, and right-click >> file >> reload tag

that should do it ;)

If you actually want to manually edit the XML file, there are loads of free xml editors on the net, as XML is a very popular format..

DJ IN NORWAY,

Thanks for that tip for stupid me! (LOL)

I thought I tried that already but will give it a go again.

Man those M.S. drugs are really messing with my mind today!!!

Or maybe it is I've got just way too much on my mind due to a big benefit gig for M.S. tomorrow where I'll be blowing my neck of the woods people away with what this latest version can do...

As for the XML editors could you recommend a pretty keep it simple for stupid minded me?

Again thanks,

DJ TAO :)
