Topic: My new gig box

Finally finished my latest gig box, built the case myself to fit Denon HC 4500 mp3 controller, Denon HD 2500 mp3 player (also controller for the cd deck), Denon X500 mixer, Denon D4000 cd deck, Twin radio mic, usb hub and lappy power supply.

Main playout system is VDJ on laptop controlled by the hc4500 and the keyboard and touchpad on the flip up panel
HD2500 modded with 120gb hardrive carrying same music as lappy for back up, also have the hd2500 controlling the d4000 cd decks as another back up and to play the odd customers cd.

radio mic, usb hub and lappy power supply is mounted inside the case.

Fan of your work there, nice job with the case!

I'm planning on building one myself this week... what's the trick to getting the carpet looking right? I find it difficult to carpet the corners without it looking messy!

How does it handle Video?
 
for covering the a case if you find it hard to get a neat job the best thing you can do is find covering material that is slightly stretchy,that way you can cut it near as dam it and stretch it a bit to cover any gaps, use spray adhesive but wait tilll it goes tacky before sticking the covering on, if you get over spray on the covering take it off with some light gear oil (wd40) on a rag. the covering that i used isn`t streatchy so a bit of forward planning is needed and plan to put the joins in internal corners if possible other than that take your time, mesure twice cut one and take your time.

Don't use video at the moment, it's audio only for me, I might give it a spin in the future tho.
