You've mentioned you've had great success with Total Control working with VDJ. Is there anything else I would need to purchase with the total control? Or can I just plug in and go?

Besides the Total Controll, what other controllers would you recommend? I'm in Portland, Oregon.

The RMX is a good controller..as is the MKII..but there are a lot of good quality controllers....just stay away from the BCD stuff and you should be fine...

For the price, the Total Control is a great controller. I've been using mine for the past 6 months with absolutely no problems.

Don't use your laptops sound.....it will sound like shit. I would go with Numark's DJ I/O or something similar.

If you're in Portland.....you can probably find both of these things at Platinum Records.

TearEMup.....

So your good with TC?

Ok I'll make it short and sweet.

When running 2 turntables with the virtual vinyl soundcard lappy and VDJ and mixer how can i CUE via headphones while using the total control? So i can mix videos with vinyl. Possible or no? with timecodes the crossfader has to be in the middle for my sound to be correct BUT to mix videos i need to move the internal crossfader with TC so it crosses paths and can't do both without sacrificing headphone cuing. Is there a way to sync the 2 together to make it work with being able to cue via headphones? OR am i forced to buy a 1000.00 midi mixer?

Your running VV and a Total Control? Do you have the video cross fader linked to the sound crossfader? If so allow the auto cue to do its job. Or, look into the new Behringer mixer that is midi..it is not a BCD and it has the ability to use a wide spectrum of crossfaders so if you like the Pioneer crossfader throw it in. If you like the Rane, throw it in. It has had some very good reviews too, just takes a bit of work setting it up. It is only $400.00 at PSSL.
