Hi.
I need to decide witch mixer to buy to use with virtual dj to mix and scratch video.
I need a two channel mixer, with a good enough fader for scratching.
I use real turntables so i dont need controllers like hercules, BCD2000, or ion.
It seeams like there are only 4 channel scratch mixer with midi out there...
Are there any alternatives?
Does the X-SESSION PRO have a good fader for scratching??
HELP!!!

X-Session is a bit small, and "toyish", but havent tried it myself, so might be ok for scratchin..
For serious scratchin, you'd probably need a heavier mixer, that would stand still when you move that fader back and forth, insanely .. or "insanely" lol ;)
So yeah, you're right... most midi/hardware hybrid mixers have 4 channels...
- Ecler Nuo4
- Evler Evo4
- Ecler Evo5
- Pioneer DJM700
- Pioneer DJM800
- Korg Zero4
If thats over budget, a midi controller from M-Audio might be the only way, since you dont like the controllers with "decks" .. like Hercules RMX, Total Control and so on.
The best midi controller I think, for scratchin crossfader is the Vestax VCI-100 and VCI-300, but you might not like them, as they also have decks.
hope that helps

The M-Audio X-Session Pro is fine for doing "basic scratching" routines but if you are really doing more than just the "basics" it is plastic and I think it would break on you when really doing "hard core scratching"...
So if doing more than the "basics", then go with one of the units suggested above.
I would if I had the money...
