Pioneer CDJ's, 800 & 1000

Pioneers are great if you got the cash...

I use Numark CDX's for the 12 inches of vinyl on top.... Works great with VDJ TCs..... People like the look too...

Got some clear LPS and different slipmats....

Pioneer CDJ 800 & Numark CDX is less expensive. The Numark cdxs are really good and function like the technics 1200s with the large platter. The CDJ 1000mk3 are 1200 bucks each, and the CDJ 800s are 699 each and the CDXs run about the same as the CDJ 800s You can always find a good deal on craigslist for less. I used all three of them and they all perform well.

Tito,
Like Caliente said CDJ's and CDX's are very good with VDJ, but you have to be very lucky to get your hands on a good pair of cdx's.
I had two pairs of cdx's and they were nothing but trouble, had to send them back to Numark every two months. It was too bad because they worked and feel very nice (when they worked).....
They have a problem with the cd drive, sometimes did not want to read or load.
That's why i use CDJ's now and love it.

Good Luck!!

Hum guess I got lucky then... Picked up a pair of CDXs on Craigslist and have had minor issues but usually I just burn a new TCd and they are up in a flash.... Only other issues I have had is related to power issues. Did a promotion gig at the local outdoor swapmeet and due to power draw at connections they were kicking out weird characters on the LCD... At another gig had similar issue but cause dumb ass owner of house hooked up both of my extensions to the same circuit... When I would hit the strobes or fog, even my usb devices would clunk out... Fixed it in about 3 minutes by running extension to other room in house....

My gf got em for me for Xmas... in a Odyssey diamond plated stand/coffin combo with an old school 19 4 channel mixer for $650....

I just put on some clear Vinyl Lps and Glowtronic Slips...

I did have a Technics DZ but with $200 for some vinyl tops, got rid of it on ebay when I got the CDXs...

I also suggest that you burn some MP3 disks and go to guitar ctr to check some set ups out....

I heard about Cd lens Issues but its somthing simple. My friend has a pair of them and he had problems reading some time codes. I opened them up and did a lens cleanning with cottom ear swabs. After doing that, they perform like they are brand new. It loadfs up and reads quick now. Do this only if you are a handy person. I use swabbs with alchcohol and also the spray lubricant for the plastic and metal parts.. I seen 2 of them on craigslist for 1000 for both

I use Stanton c.314's & they're excellent for the price, my next steps up would be Denon & then Pioneer at the top;^]

Which denon are you reffering to.. If you are talking about the 3500s, The CDJ 800s are better for scratching and cost about the same..

THANKS FOR THE HELP
