Hello,
I have a gig for about 300 people that wants a Back to the 60's party.
But I was looking for mixmash or promo only for real good quality vids from the 60's.
Could not find them.
Does anybody know where I can find it?
Thanks

Did they make videos back then, lol.
I think they will be quite hard to find, you might find alot of footage of groups and bands doing TV shows and concerts, but as for video's think you will be struggling.

Hey Jimmy,
Yeah right.
But a friend of mine bought a dvd with all kind of vids from the 60's.
http://www.nl.bol.com/is-bin/INTERSHOP.enfinity/eCS/Store/nl/-/EUR/BOL_AffiliateMap-Start?LinkType=Product&Section=MUSIC&PrdID=1000004005533592&Referrer=TDR26dd0b083fa74cba5e65f8ab3e8fd0771500890
The quality of the sound was superb.
Guess they added a better sound than the original to it.
Also the vid was very clear and good to look at.
But the problem was that at every song at the last 20 seconds, you hear somebody telling about the history.
Damn, if they did not do it it was great to have.
So maybe there are also these kind of dvd's with good quality from begin to the end.

Check your local "Big Box" (BEst Buy, Circuit City, Fry's Electronics). There are several 50s & 60s Greatest Hits Collections. Motown has a series of their stars (and the compliation "The Motown Years") most of which are TV and Concert footage with the records dubbed for the audio. There is also a BBC compilation that has old performances from their equivalent to American Bandstand with groups like BTO, Heart, The Who, Elton John, Deep Purple and a bunch of other rock stars, there are a couple of compilations from the "Ed Sulivan Show" and there are other 60's greatest hits compilations and greatest hits collections....look around they are there you just gotta spend some time researching.
