Well...I was so excited about converting all of my protected .wma's to DRM free .mp3's. I purchased "Sound Taxi Professional" (the $25 version) and I went to town converting my entire library! It took me about 2 days, including the time it took to re-dowload my expired-licence tracks. I was so relieved! I would never have to worry again about being on a gig and discovering that one of my Napster tracks was suddenly un-playable. Yippie! HOWEVER...beware! I was horrified to learn (on my next gig) that a number of the .mp3's that I had created, either "skipped" or had "gaps of siilence" within the song file. I have no idea how many OTHER songs have been affected...and so now, I'm back to square one. I guess I learned that crime doesn't pay...hehe. Tom

Oh...bye the way...
If anyone else has had this experience...or, a positive experience with Sound Taxi....I would sure love to hear about it. Thanks, Tom

I've never had any problem using Tunebite to convert my Napster tracks... OK so it's a bit naughty, but Napster's hardly losing out on it, they still get my monthly subscription!

You naughty lads ;)

Ahhh...Tunebite!
Thank you...I'll try it.
Yeah, I guess you're right....I'm sure Napster is doing just fine.
I do appreciate the feedback....Tom
Perhaps I should close down all other programs while I let these wonderful programs do their magic?

Yes...Naughty indeed...it's just personal survival though...
I guess the ultimate solution is to get one of those "internet anywhere" cards so I can re-dowload/purchase tunes on the gig...

I use Rhapsody and one of my cell phones as a modem. I do not buy the tracks, I just stream them. I pay $14.99 a month and have access to all of their tracks. If a client ask for a track that I don't have, bam I got it. Why do I need to spend another .89 cent to own a track that I may never need again, or will get next week on one of my subscription services?

Thank you very much for the tip! So, you have "internet anywhere" via your cell phone...very cool!
Thanks, Tom

TuneBite is the best because it does Itunes Vids as well!
