Now I have found other issues. Went back today to try things again regarding the HUM. First off, everytime I plug the soundcard into my laptop and set up at different mixer, I have to reinstall the special driver for vista to make it work. Today, it worked fine, then when i plugged the laptop in and the HUM started, it reset the soundcard and the card no longer worked properly. When I say that, it was working fine through the mixer, able to crossfade fine. Then after plugging it in the left deck played on both channels. I am starting to wonder if VDJ 5.1 and Vista just isn't a good mix. At one of my clubs I am still using VDJ 3.1 with a Maya EX. We use it for our house music system, and for 3 years 7 days a week from 4pm til 2am on Automix, i have had zero issues. Since trying to use this new laptop and VDJ 5.1, nothing but a headache. I am off to buy the ground loop isoators, but will they keep my drivers from resetting? I thought this was only a HUM solution. Can a HUM also cause drivers to reset in software?

VDJ is exhausting. I am starting to think, it is best used as a jukebox, and not for professional DJ's. It is always something. I honestly am at my wits end with this program. The frustrating thing is, I used this program to really perfect my DJ skills after moving away from CD's. To have to go out and learn Serato after all this time really is something I would rather not do.

Someone please help me do this simple thing and take a brand new Sony VAIO with a MAYA 44 with Vista and VDJ 5.1 and make it work as easily as the old 3.1 and Maya EX days.

Make sure that everytime you plug in your sounjdcard that you plug it into the same USB slot as most USB hardware will ber detected as NEW if moved to another slot.

Since the first time I plugged it into the Vaio, it is the only USB device that I have ever plugged into the one USB slot.
