Does anyone know how good does the Pioneers CDJ-400 work as a controller with the virtual dj pro program cause i see it in the remote control section. And would i have to hook both turntables via usb to make them work? or is the numark iCDX better.

I owned a CDJ-400 and two iCDXs. I prefer the iCDX to the CDJ as a controller. As a CD player the CDJ was ahead of the iCDX.

DOES IT WORK LIKE THE HERCULES CONSOLE BUT BETTER

Apples and oranges, the iCDX is more like a one deck controller. While the HERC is a two deck controller. Do not get me wrong, the iCDX can controller two decks, and it does so very well. But it is not an all in one controller like the HERC is. Also worth noting the iCDX is not a soundcard and both the MKII and the CDJ are.

Yes a mixer and soundcard. Personally I use a DXM01usb mixer (usb soundcard built in) with great success and my iCDXs.

oh ok and does the cdj work like the mk2. the reason why am asking is i find that when i hook up the hec mk2 to a club set is hums and makes noise i try changing the cables the samething. and when other places i hook up it push out a lower volume.

Probably a ground loop hum. Try a ground loop isolator, that should clear it up, to test before you buy unplug your laptop, if the hum goes away, its a ground loop.
