I have nothing but problems...
1. The player won't manipulate the software (the platter spins and everything but the none of the buttons work)
2. The file plays with a slur every now and then..
can someone tell me how to make this thing work properly

did you activate it? go into config and see if it is

You have to have version 5.2. You have to have the denon asio drivers installed. go to the config and the controllers, activate the 5500. In sound setup select external mixer, asio driver, select denon 5500 and at the bottom select the proper channels for the sound.

Yes, make sure you have the latest firmware. I think it is 1200

actually i do have the latest firmware for the Denon 1210.. i don't know. its giving mean headache man.. i am gonna try the suggestions and see what happens....

I would reinstall the Denon ASIO drivers from the CD. I was having similar issues and that cleared up a lot of problems.
