Thanks guys.
The surgery went well.
Funny thing was There was a small paperwork oversight.....The surgeon's secretary forgot to get me to sign a consent form. So I was in the O.R. Strapped to the table and the Anesthetist was about to inject the Fentyinol (very cool drug) and the supervising nurse yelled out to stop, and I had to sign the consent form on the table.
Then I was out like a light and the surgeon repaired my hernia.
I'm off work for 6 weeks, and to a workaholic like myself (normal work week for me is 75-80 hrs) it's gonna seem like 6 months.
And the GF knows about the kitty. I bought it for her birthday but he bonded with me, so like it or not (I hate cats) He's my cat.
Thanks for the kind thoughts.

i'm so glad you're heavily drugged right now, so i can leave you this quote from Dr. Isaac Asimov -
doctor, doctor with green coat.
doctor, doctor cut my throat.
and when you're finished, doctor then
won't you sew it up again?
should we really be leaving comments to make you laugh after a hernia operation?...
oh well.. enjoy the drugs.

The codeine they perscribed is making everything happy and fuzzy, and funny anyway.

ahhh.. codiene, the fun drug.
i had the wonderful experience of finding out that i was, and still am, hypersensitive to narcotics and not in a good way... minimum dosage T3 knocks me out for 36-48 hours! found this out in boot camp way back when. one minute i'm ironing a uniform, the next i'm in an ambulance... wheee!
and now i have a suggestion = drug up, load 2001 in the DVD player, and just fast forward to the spiffy colors and set the chapter on repeat. if that doesnt work... just stare at the sonique things for awhile...
enjoy

So I called my Father to check in on his Injury.....
For his 65th he decided that jumping out of a perfectly good airplane while it was moving would be a fun Birthday Celebration.
The Fool broke his foot on landing. (same thing I did when I jumped in the army)
So he's off his feet for 8 weeks with a broken ankle.
Happy Birthday Dad.
He's thinking of Glider pilot lessons next year LOLOLOL. (I'm not kidding he really is)
