Ok maybe this is a dumb question but i have always been a beat mixing dj, and wanted to give scratching a try. Is there anyone that can give me a hand or point me in the right direction? Im using a dj controller not turntables.

Thanks in advance

from experience... you will never be able to re-create good scratching from a controller. If you REALLY want to learn how to scratch... turntables are the only choice.

Just my opinion anyways... call me old school if you wish.

OK, Old School..... ;-)

Al is right. To really get the most out of scratching it helps to learn on an actual turntable or a good CD equivalent (CDJ 1000s, or Denons).

cds for the car - turntables for scratch

I only use my mouth or the zipper on my jacket... Call me NewSkool if you want

If you want to scratch, you are using the wrong equipment for that. You need either turntables or Pioneer cdjs or the Numark cdxs. I dont recomend denon. Denon is not the same anymore. Denons cd players have to many problems with either lens errors or platters breaking down. The scratching is not good on the 3500s.

Turntables or CDJ's is the choice IMO. The consule won't work for real scratching. I'd recommend an instructional DVD to get started. Be prepared for A LOT of practice. This isn't as easy as it looks.

Sorry dude

You need tables to scratch.

Somebody said that VDJ has a scratch pluggin???
