Some vids I have gives a horroble sound within VDJ. Strange because with the mediaplayer it works good.
When I load the vid in Vegas and render it again as a mpg 2 file, then it plays good in virtualdj without any problem.
How can I play these vids without rendering it in Vegas?

Change the codec in the codec sektion ! Wich container (or extension) do you mean ? mkv ?
If u use mkv, make sure they are properly rendered. I had some mkv files with mp4 for video and aac for audio (or something like that). Here I had terrible sound too.

Did you re-render with 48khz sound, or 44khz? That could be the reason. What type of sound card are you using?

Guys,
Re-rendering is not the problem.
I always use dvddecrypter to get the vids.
Normally 99 % of the ripped dvd's are good.
But some vids have that awfull sound in virtual dj.
When you load it into mediaplayer you hear a normal sound.
When you load it to Vegas and render it as a mpg file, no problems within virtualdj

Still didn't answer my question above. It would help to pinpoint the source of why VOBs don't sound like they should.

djderricke,
You're right. Gonna look what the difference is with a good vob and a vob that sounds horrible.

I have also some vobs that sounds terrible on VDJ: Some has loud static fuss sound and some other has heavily pitched down sound (independent of the pitch slider). No Problems when playing on media player.
Also there is a lot of vobs that plays normally when starting from beginning but if you jump some beats or move fast forward or backward, the video picture is stopped and stilled until you restart the track.

Did you solved the problem Jaakko?

Now that you mention it Jakko (Not to hijack this thread) but I also have a problem with some SVCD encoded videos with the freezing when jumping through them. I should send one in to the support team.
