Hello, I had my technics SL1210MK2s sitting as memory to my glory days, Like you, after seen the Vids on You Tube and so on, I got my 1200s in shape, got the blue led kit, and got the Maya 44 USB connect to my laptop, the time code records from this site and RELIVING the glory days!
All you need is, VDJ, a mixer, Maya 44 USB, TCV. I use the DAC-2 from PCDJ for controlling the loops and pitch blend. I also use the X-Session Pro from M-Audio for controlling the video fader when mixing or playing with the Visual Effects and Videos on the LCDS and Projectors.
Have fun and relive the golry days!

MAYA44's latency is good enough to be "instant", not really instant, but you won't notice the delay. :)

Most mixers I have seen have this. Hear the mix in the headphones. My my mixer is displays PGM/CUE and has a small slider.
I use
Rane MP2 Mixer
DAC-2
Maya 44 USB
a Laptop
(2) Technics SL1210MK2
BBE 482i Sonic Maximizer

yeah , i was just wondering if using timecoded records and vdj you can still use all the functions of the mixer eg the headphone cue mix , bass eq etc .but i guessing with the mixer u are just controlling the signal that goes to a maya44 sound card .so the vdj bit is just to select the song and see the wav image

I have Virtual DJ Pro 5.2 and the RMX mixer 2 Technique turntables and now I am waiting for the Time coded vinyls, is that all I need?

Exactly. Everything that your mixer can, works with timecode as well as it has nothing to do with your mixer. :)

sorry just got a couple of more questions , last ones promise :)
say i have a set up with turntables and timecoded vinyl , when i move the pitch slider up and down on the turntable will the song still speed up and down ? can i still keep tracks in time by touching the record/platter etc . also how would the beat lock work (i guess that would just lock the bpms no matter where the pitch slider is on the turntable?)
and last one
at the mo i have a ion icue (simular to numark total control) , and a turntable (which i dont use at the mo) could i some how use both together , the icue being the mixer.think i would still need to buy the maya 44 sound card .
i saw this vid on youtube thats why im asking :
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=dn6RzSCqiJ4
like to give it a go somehow but the icue only has a usb lead no inputs or outputs
cheers again

YES you can!,
You and touch the turntables and the son will slow down, you can move the silders and you can also use your controller and everything works fine.
All the questions you have I had when to tool the step into using a laptop, VDJ, Maya 44 USB, and Tome code.
You will need the sound card such as the Maya USB 44.
Turntable---->Maya 44 USB------>>Mixer.
Your controller will move all the "buttons" on VDJ. I will film my self with my gear and post it on youtube. any questions feel free to ask. That is why we are here. The is NEVER a dumb question, Many of us are D.J. and not computer experts.

True, Then in that case you use the Maya 44 USB for the input of the Turntables to send the timecode signal to the PC, Use your sound card output to your amps for powered speakers etc.
on VDJ choose simple output, and timecome input the Maya 44 USB, I tried it on my setup using the X-Session Pro which has not RCA hookups. The "mixer: in this case is the midi mixer and the Maya 44 USB is the input for the time code.
