I was ready to purchase the RMX and upgrade to VDJ Pro until I found out that you can’t play ITunes purchased songs with VDJ. I realize that ITunes plus will play, but most of the newest songs aren’t available in the plus version. I tried converting the protected songs and I can’t find a program that will let you. Is VDJ planning an upgrade that will allow you to play protected songs? Also is it possible to run ITunes and VDJ simultaneously and switch back and forth through the RMX?

Sorry you are asking the wrong Company.
iTunes has signed agreements with the record companies, and it requires DRM encoding in the songs and videos.
The only way you can play iTunes songs/videos outside of iTunes is to somehow strip the DRM. Although this is technically illegal.
Good luck.

No Commercial DJ software will play drm protected files, it's not a VDJ problem. it's a RIAA created problem.

BURN SONG TO DISC IN WAVE THAN IMPORT DISC TO LIBRARY

Or switch to Napster or Rhapsody, their DRM songs play just fine;^]
