I personally feel the DN3500'S are better than the DN5000'S. I've used both of the decks, and I own a pair of DN3500'S.
But, I think it's due to the direct driven part, over the belt driven. Their both very nice decks but, I like the accuracy on the 35's and also the features.
It has many nice features, the effects, hot syncs, you can record samples etc. And last but, not least, you can also add an actual 45 onto the platter to obtain that ultimate vinyl feel!

whats up adrain. When it comes to table top cd players, i wouldnt go with denon. Something in the same price range as the denons are the pioneer CDJ 800 mk2. It is very accurate when it comes to scratching and can take a beating. It is very reliable.. Denons give problems. lens erros, belts break, the motor gets messed up etc.

Caliente, what's good?
Hey you know, alot of people complain about that on ths DN3500'S. But it's funny I've had my pair for about just over 2 years and never had any problems.
I did all of the version updates and always worked flawless. I have heard alot of the DN3500'S had some issues but maybe I just got lucky. I have also used the Pioneer MK 800's but, the thing I don't like about those is the platter is so stiff. Although now, I hear the new versions are adjustable.
I have an Pioneer MK 1000 that I also use sometimes. Those are nice too but for the money I think DN35'S surpass many CDJ'S on both price and quality.

Excuse me I also do not agree with caliente and I have two years with my DENONs using them every weekend plus practices and I have not had any kind of problems, I have no complaints about the PIONEER, but if you give to your DENONs the good maintenance and keep in good condition, you will receive proper functioning of the DENONs.
Cheers
