Topic: M-Audio Connectiv soundcard any good? Does anybody use one?

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

Evening guys,

I would like to ask you about your views on the M-audio Connectiv soundcard. I've been looking at it this afternoon.

I use a Maya at the moment with my TCV's and I don't care what anybody says about this card, IMO it's a good and simply card to use. But I'm finding the output is low, that's why I'm looking into changing soundcards.

I'm not going to spend silly money for a top of the range soundcard, I think this card looks good for the money.

Also I like the bypass feature this card has,

I have been using the conectiv for the last few months and absolutely love it. very easy to switch from tcv/tccd to actual vinyl or cds. So far no problems with it!

Thanks DJ Marze,

that's what I like about this card. If anything goes tit's up at least you have a back up plan, lol

What is the output like?

outputs are great - i have to turn down the master output on vdj so i can have more gain control on my mixer!

Grand,

Cheers DJMarze.

hey jimmy...count me in as another satisfied user of the connectiv! its a great to have the option to turn the wheels to play audio cds while you reboot the cpu...that is IF you have AC power connected. I made the mistake one night and rebooted without ac power thus I lost all sound...reboot the cpu means usb power goes away! lol The connectiv does not come with an ac adapter so you will have to purchase one but shouldn't cost more than 25 US bucks.

I love it too , the sound is very good the bass is on fire

I've been using conectiv for 3 years now, first with Torq and now with VDJ never failed me.
Latency is great with my CDJ's and love the headphones and mic i/o.
Like Marcel said, the signal is super strong.

Peace

I have one that I bought about a year ago and never used. I recently bought a new pair of DVJs that I want to use timecoded cds with. I have necer done this but I like what you have to say about this sound card. If I get a power adaptor, what do I have to do to hook this thing up so I can used time code cds, but use regular audio cds if I want. I did not realize I can do that. Thanks

I guess jim you plug your CDJ/turntables or whatever into inputs 1&2 and 3&4 and the outputs go to your 2 channels of your mixer.

To play reg vinyl or CD's. Again I'm guessing here, as I don't have one yet, that once you have the 9v power adaptor plugged into the mains, you then can hit the "line Bypass" on the back of the soundcard and it will bypass your PC/laptop to play.

As I said earlier it's a good back up, if you have to restart your PC/laptop.

All you need to do is turn the big mix knobs no power adaptor is need if the laptop is on.
