it seems like most people here are using vinyl. i wanna hear from cdj users. what is your setup? is there anyway to use cdjs with an MK2... not that im really sure you would need the mk2 with a cdj? sorry im new-ish

They are both good to use. I started dj ying with technics 1200s over 20 yeras ago and now im using Pioneer CDJ 1000mk3s. The pioneers are really good to use. If you like the feel of vinyl and are comforatble with the size of the platter, then use 1200s. If you dont mind the size of the platter because on a pioneers platter, it is 7.5 inches in diameter. The technics is 12 inches.

i started on cdj then went to vinyl because i started to scratch more - and scratching on cdjs seemed a bit weird! the different clubs i work at have different setups - cdjs/ vinyl so i have to change how i play at each place. but thats all good- the club with cdj is a large student club so less scratching more mixing. the other with vinyl is more of a hiphop crowd so the appreciate the skill in scratching more.
