that sounds like the monster setup. if you have the cash pull the trigger.

i started out with a fisher-price and a lite-brite.
depending on whether you are going to be running timecodes, if your controller doesnt have a sound card or stereo inputs, you may want to think about, and i am unfamiliar with the xonar, getting a sound card with two stereo inputs and two stereo outputs--like, i believe, the maya44, or other cards have.

Make sure you run Vista. I personally would trade the Nvidia graphics card for the ATI HD4850 or HD 4870. I have the 4850 and love the card. MAke sure your PSU is above 600w and has at least 2 12 volt rails.
