I have also a problem with the words being displayed but my problem is a bit different than his.
My Karaoke CDs are in different formats cdg, cda, and more but I play I cannot see the words. Its just the audio
and it seems to me that the format under the congif in vdj are supporting these file formats.
Anyone have a clue to what is wrong? I would like to load these karaoke songs to my HD
Any help on this on would be Awesome!!!
Thanks

Hi
I had the same problem, I think Virtual DJ cannot read the graphics file of a karaoke song from a CD.
I used Power CD+G Burner to rip the cd's to my hard drive. It has a free trial but if i remenber it will only rip the first minute of the song but it's fairly cheap i think about £20 but it is well worth it.
Once you have ripped the cd's to your HD VDJ can then play the karaoke song with the words in the screen.
One downside to this though is that you will need to rename the songs once ripped as well if you wish to use VDJ to search for the song by name. (Which is so much easier). If you do rename the songs you will need to rename both the .mp3 and the .cdg with the same name or the graphics will not work. I think you can rip to zip which and only have to rename the zip file but i am not sure. If you rip to MP3+G you can convert them into .zip which is better for you HD and saves you space.
Regards
Nick

try audiograbber.. it works flawless for me i've ripped many different companies'karaoke cds with this .
also it can look up the karaoke cd on freeb and fill in title /artist automatically for you
http://www.audiograbber.com-us.net/download.html
also its freeware ..
only thing though ,all cd/dvd burners don't read karaoke cds(music with no words)
for example my dvd burner in my toshiba sattelite won't read cdg;however my external burner with lightscribe read my whole collection (@ about 2~4 mins a piece.
hopes this helps ...goodluck...happy karaoke

You can try this. I have done it for over 5,000 karaoke songs. Works great.
