Hello guys, im after some help :)
Ive been DJing in one of my student bars on campus for a month or so now. I use a Hercules mk2 along side Virtual DJ.
I also DJ alongside a friend who uses CDJ's (pioneer CDJ 1000's mk3) and there is a small problem that the volume coming from my laptop/hercules just isnt as loud as the CDJ's.
Ive decided to move up to CDJ's and i was wondering how i go about time coding them? The best thing about using the hercules is that you have all your music at your disposal, in any order, rather than having to swap CD's around.
How would I go about doing this? Can i use Virtual DJ? what sort of cables would i need?

There is no reason to take CDJ's to increase your output level as it will be the same, you will use timecode cd's only to control VDJ, you will still have the same output you are having now. Don't worry that you have lower output signal, just boost your gain so the output is at 0dB- +3dB. CDJ's and most common cd players have too loud output signals, I had them going over +6dB with the gain lowered to the max and that is not good for the overall sound output. Take CDJ's only if you want to control VDJ with them.
You will need sound card with 2 stereo inputs like you have on Hercules MK2 or Maya 44.
