Topic: Vista Ultimate on Imac sound is choppy

Questo argomento è obsoleto e potrebbe contenere informazioni obsolete o errate.

I am a virtual dj user for the past 4 years.

I am a video dj and audio dj.

I currently have a very heavy amd pc that I have built and has been working beautiful with XP Professional sp2.

I am switching to mac as soon i can get it to work properly.

Choppy sound in vista.

I installed Vista with bootcamp then placed the osx leopard cd back in to install the mac drivers.

Everytime a song plays the sound get choppy and gets all messed up.

I have tried many different settings in the config performances tab.

I have also tried to use a completely different Hard drive.

The same exact mp3 files work on the custom built AMD pc.

I also tried setting the Realtek HD audio manager to 16bits, 44100hz (Cd Quality)

Please help as soon as possible.
I have the 20" 2.4ghz IMac with 256graphic card. 3gigs of memory.

Thank you in advance,

DJ Frankie

Have you tryed to turn off the "safe mode" option in the performance tab?

you need to set the latency to auto in the performance tab.

safe mode is off and latency is on auto.

djfrankiel - is the Vista install including the Service Pack 1 update? If not, then I would consider getting that installed and trying.

I'm just using the built in sound card right now.

Does anyone have a "how to setup vista on an IMac with virtual DJ" information.

Need help please.

Thanks everyone thats been trying to help.

I have bootcamp 2.0, Leopard, vista sp1, dac-2 controller. That's all I have hooked up for now.

Is there any tweaks that I need to do in vista to shut applications down to add performance to virtual DJ.

Should I just use xp. sound plays fine when I installed xp in my Imac.

Should I quit trying to make Vista work.

I haven't seen anything in the forums about vista setup tweaks for imac.

I guess the sound is not the only problem. When the sound starts messing up, I notice the virtual DJ record on the turntable jumps.

Does anyone have Vdj and vista working properly.

I'm going to call it quits.

Everytime I try to hook up to my dlink wireless router with vista, I have to go though a connect to and wait. Its so annoying.

I wish I knew how to fix it.

I tried every setting in the performance and unchecked accelerate hardware and everything.

I'm out of ideas.

I even tried putting xp pro and I can't connect online or anything. It sees the the wireless dlink but no go.

My mac hooks up perfectly with the dlink without windows. I know it's not my wireless connection.

I think all these problems are leading up to the big picture for why it's not working.

I even tried boot camp version2.

I need help bad.

Unfortunately, I don't have any info for running VDJ in bootcamp. I'm just wondering why you chose to run in bootcamp instead of OSX? With the exception of timecode, it runs fine for me in OSX.

I would say VDJ on Mac OSX is the way to go too,

I had a couple of teething problems but I am starting to feel moving to Mac was the right thing to do

All the sonique effects and video transitions are not working well in the mac version.

Video is much smoother and there is no driver for the dac-2 controller.

I wish everything would work in mac.

I love macs.

Until then....
