I'll respond with a quote, take it anyway you want:
"If it was easy, everyone would be doing it."

The sync button does not work most of the time, so if you are relying on the sync button exclusively, then you will be a horrible DJ with lots of train wrecks. You need to learn to mix songs without relying on the sync. When you can do that then you can use the sync button as much as you want and the times that the sync don't work, you can just beat-match by ear and never have a problem.
Just imagine if the sync button worked 100 percent of the time, then anybody could be a good DJ, assuming that they are good at playing the right songs at the right time.

i have to agree to an extent, the sync button is great for getting the things somewhere near, sometimes you just cant rely on it to do the job 100% of the time and you still have to nudge the beat in on a regular occasion, however, i do use it a lot, i mean, like, its there, so why not....

I don't see why people see it as such a bad thing to do. Is it not the ethical DJ method or something? I use it, but I'm not a die-hard sync button user. I'll usually use it only if I get too much into the song/crowd and I have to quickly make a smooth transition.
