Trust Norway for a better future ;) hehe. If we ditch OPEC deals.. and we can ;)

Regardless of where it comes from, the price will never go down.
The American oil industries would NEVER let that happen.

It cost 4 times as much to heat my house this winter, scared to death about next year.
Theyre not going to be happy untill we are all riding bicycles and living in egloos.

If there is any good to come of this, it will slow down the consumption conserving for many more decades, but more important is the damage to the environment.

Now if we can just slow down the airlines a bit.

When 911 happened the planes were grounded for a week and the price fell considerably because all of a sudden the market was flooded.

Norways price politics on oil is an enviromental one...

There will be new energy sources real soon ;)

btw, USA can afford the "enviromental oil tax", you arent exactly a poor nation

I'm more concerned with eastern eurpean and poor countries, where the higher oil price really have bad effects

Norways stand on saving the environment is a strong one, and we gave your Al Gore the Nobel Peace Prize, for being the PR person for the cause..

So to be honest, dont expect cheaper oil any time soon.. hehe. But there will be cleaner energy sources in future to come

;)

Portugal has one of the highest prices in the Europe. Here is a litle bit hard to live.
here, the life is expensive and the sallary is too low.
the guys of the governement are rich, and the people work in the S***

That might be true Rune but, that does not mean we deserve any more taxes. The proposed tax your referring too is part of the environmental movement. Some smaller nations could easily sell their "Green Credits" to richer nations...but why should we/they be punished for building wealth? This notion of punishing anyone who builds and succeeds really scares me.

Marcel was right, 80+% of our oil is from the Great White North and the rest comes from central and latin America. Anyone saying Iraq is an oil war is dead wrong. The oil companies raise their prices for one reason and one reason only....because we will pay for it....

Because wealth pollutes, and eats up the natural resources the World have...
So its not punishment, its taking fair responsibility, to make sure our children also have a green healty planet to live on

It aint that hard to understand the logics ... ;)
Norway pay more than ANY others, and we do more too... even a "Noah's Arch" made at Svalbard, where ALL seeds for all life, will be stored, for a worst case scenario.

The challenging part the world faces, is that too many refuse to see the truth. And not all want to take the cost to save the planet for our children.

I hate to phrase it like this but it is true, The U.S.A should be more worried about pissing off Canada than the Russians, or terrorist groups. They can only attack. We can shut down your infrastructure.

But because we're such good friends, we wont.

Puck that. I say we annex Canada, and take their pucking oil and water. We don't have no pucking friends.

The US already tried that. little altercation called The War of 1812.

Canada won.

P.S. It's because of Canada that the White house is White. We burned it down.
