Well, Like Jimmy B suggested. I tried it and it seems to work pretty good. Now, does anyone know how to use 2 Denon DN-HS5500's with Virtual? One for each deck. Or is that not possible yet?

I use Ver 5.2.1 and the spinning pater dosen't work for me with my notebook with vista. Every time i activate it, the midi connection from the player to the pc failed. I don't know how it's under XP.

I have another computer with vista on it and I am having the same problem with the midi connection. I tried it last night with my laptop that has Windows XP and the Denon DN-HS5500 seems to work well. The only issue I have is sometimes with certain songs the audio tends to fluctuate. It depends on the song and it only happens when the platter is spinning. Aside from that I am very happy with the work the Virtual Team has done to make it possible for us to be able to use this controller with the best Dj software on the market.

Make sure you have the latest drivers from the Denon website --

Yes, I updated the 5500\'s to firmware update v1210. I also installed Asio drivers v1.01 even though I\'m not using the soundcard from 5500\'s. I use the RME Fireface 400 for a soundcard.
Here's a picture of my set-up.

My 5500 works great with 5.2.1. I love it.

I agree. I tried the Denon 5500's last night with VirtualDJ 5.2.1 for the first time and I'm loving it. I hope in the future we'll be able to use both 5500's one for each Virtual deck. I find it easier this way due to the fact that I'm so used to it. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

If anyone is using the Denon DN-HS5500's, what are the appropriate settings for this controller. I know this controller has midi settings and platter settings. What should they be set to for optimum performance with VirtualDJ.

I have also been having problems with the controller losing the connection with Windows Vista (when the platter is spinning
).
Could we get some confirmation from the developers of the issue with the Vista config and maybe a possible timeline for a fix?
The Denon is my only controller for VDJ and I really need it working.
Thanks,
Taipanic
PS: Love the software, know you guys are working hard, just trying to get my setup working right.

Everything is working well, the only thing is there is some slipping of the platter when scratching. A good example is, let's say I scratch a point at 12 o'clock. That same point drifts slowly clockwise as I scratch back and forth. Are there settings to fix this problem? Or is it a software or firmware update?

LOL. My set-up definately says that I am passionate about DJ'ing. It's a natural high for me to see a packed dancefloor when I'm playing. Dj'ing is my life for the past 25 years.

Have you been able to get the hs5500 to work via midi, on seperate decks? If not were you able to get the korg zero 8 to work for you time codes? I have the same setup and so far I'm still using a maya44 for my sound card, and running my hs5500's with time code. I've been using my Korgs midi to control the video and sync. Let me know if you got it all figured out. I called numark and they weren't much help. Thx
