Remixes

The Remixes tab is used to display alternative remixes of the highlighted song in the browser. This offers the DJ alternate choices of the selected track before loading them to a deck for playback. When a track is focussed on in the browser, the Remixes SideView will automatically populate with alternative versions of the same track.

Additionally, the panel can be set to display similar songs of the track highlighted in the browser or recommended songs based on what is playing in the active deck.

linked tracks

Linked Tracks provide an easy way to associate related tracks and link them together. Unlike remixes, similar, or recommended tracks that are automatically populated, Linked Tracks are manually created by the DJ to associate 2 or more tracks that mix well together.

  1. TRACK ARTIST/TITLE. Displays the track in the active deck or the highlighted track in the browser depending on what option is selected.

  2. LINKS. Displays the available links for the selected track.

DIRECT LINKS - Displays tracks that have been directly linked to the selected track.
BACKWARD LINKS - Displays tracks that have the selected track set as a Direct Link.

  3. HISTORY. The history list is based on track relevance with the most relevant at the top and least relevant at the bottom. It will display tracks played up to 5 tracks before or after the selected track historically. Tracks played just after the selected track always take the highest priority, while tracks that are played together more often will increase in priority.

  4. OPTIONS. Provides the ability to change where the Primary Linked Track is displayed from or the ability to switch to the other displays of the Remixes SideView:

When Show tracks linked to the playing song is selected, 2 options are available:

Active Deck
Displays linked tracks from the active deck

Browser
Displays linked tracks (if any) from the highlighted track in the browser.

how to link tracks

Linked tracks can be marked by dragging and dropping from the Browser to the Linked Tracks panel in the SideView. Once it is marked as linked it will appear as a Direct Link in the SideView.

To remove the link, simply right-click on the Link and select Remove from the drop-down menu.

Linked tracks can also be added by clicking on the Cover Art in the opposite deck and selecting "Mark track linked to...". It will then appear in the Linked Tracks panel of the SideView.

Once a track is linked, clicking on the Cover Art will provide a "Remove link to..." option.
